Wartsila relocated from a two story split office space into a 600 sqm consolidated space that was fitted-out according to the company’s branding guidelines and international standards. Metrax was assigned the project management of the fit-out process offering a turn-key solution including  permit issuing, floor layout design, electrical & ITC recabling, HVAC servicing, interior decoration and branding, custom furniture design and fabrication, construction and auditing of third party integrators among others.

The challenging aspects of this project was the wide diversity of work skills employed since our crews had to intervene in multiple points of the existing space while servicing others. For example, HVAC VRV units had to be rearranged and new to be installed, marble floor cuts were performed to create cable channels, a lift shaft was decked to be used as a light passage through glass and kilometeres of new cables had to be installed to accommodate for A/V systems as well as current and future work stations. Additionally, a series of custom designed constructions (e.g. branded notice boards, custom conference clocks, 3D decorative walls) and furniture was required along working concurrently with third party installers (partitions & Optical Cables) resulting in highly increased crew co-ordination complexity and supervision of the design and fabrication process.

The excellent co-operation of our team with Wartsila people resulted in completing the project on-time for the relocation with no issues in the operation of the IT network and COM systems from day one.
